You don’t need someone to solve it. You need someone to witness it.

Alyssa LMSW-Clinical
Welcome!
Welcome! I’m Alyssa and I am here to offer you a safe space where you are fully seen - not managed, not advised, just genuinely met.
I am a licensed social worker specializing in chronic illness, depression, anxiety, caregiving stress, and LGBTQ+ affirming care. I blend clinical expertise with a warm, approachable style, often using humor to help clients feel seen, grounded, and less alone in their experiences. My work centers on collaborating with each person to build practical coping strategies, compassionate self-talk, and sustainable routines that respect the realities of chronic health challenges and caregiving demands. I prioritize safety, validation, and culturally responsive care, creating a space where difficult emotions are held with curiosity and hope. Whether we’re navigating grief, burnout, identity, or persistent symptoms, my aim is to support meaningful change while honoring resilience and the small, real moments of relief.
When I’m not working I enjoy reading, baking, and thrifting. I also love spending time with my 3 cats and 1 dog.

We'll connect at your scheduled time. Your first session is dedicated to understanding what's brought you in, establishing your goals, and mapping out how we'll work together. If you have questions about the process at any point. I'm happy to address them, including through a complimentary 15-minute phone or email consultation. Sessions are typically 50 minutes.

A lot of therapists will tell you they provide a safe, nonjudgmental space. And they mean it. But if you've ever sat across from someone who felt more like a clipboard than a human being, you know that's not always enough.
I bring something a little different, the human and the humor.
I genuinely love this work and I feel deeply connected to the people I sit with. I also know how vulnerable it is to walk into therapy. To say the thing you've never said out loud, to let someone see the parts of you that you've kept hidden. I don't take that lightly.
What I've found is that healing doesn't always have to be heavy. Sometimes the most therapeutic moment in a session is a genuine laugh, a reminder that you are so much more than what you're going through.

I ask for 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. I get it though, life happens.
In the event of a late cancellation or missed session, a $75 fee will be charged. This policy helps me protect both of our time, and I'm always happy to have a conversation if something unexpected comes up.
